Elevating an online space to match the prestige of world-class fragrance brands.
The Project
Preciosa is a beauty concept store based in Puerto Rico, powered by the local distributors of the some of the global brands it carries. Think Carolina Herrera, Rabanne, Gaultier, Cartier, and a long list of powerhouses.
Even though the online store obviously plays a role in sales, its main purpose is brand awareness. The goal? To support and elevate the presence of these luxury fragrance brands within the local market—and position them to stand out against regional competition.
The Challenge
Preciosa's Shopify theme was outdated, and its online presence didn't fully reflect the level of sophistication behind the brands it represents. We needed to update the store's infrastructure while also enhancing the digital storytelling—moving away from promo-heavy layouts and toward a space that felt editorial, elevated, and premium.
The Work
We approached the project in two layers: technical reset + creative direction.
- Theme reset: We completely updated Preciosa’s Shopify theme to ensure compatibility with the platform’s latest features and future updates.
- Small but intentional rebrand: We made a few brand tweaks to modernize the overall look and align better with the aesthetics of the brands carried.
- Custom content strategy: We developed new pages that center storytelling—highlighting brand values, seasonal launches, and signature collections.
- Fragrance discovery experience: We launched a brand-new section called Behind The Scent, designed to help customers explore the world of olfactive families, understand fragrance profiles, and learn about the perfumers behind the creations.
The Outcome
Preciosa now has a digital home that matches the quality of the brands it represents. The experience feels premium, intuitive, and aligned with luxury retail standards. And more importantly, it sets the tone for how local consumers—and competitors—see the store.
A Personal Note
I’ll be honest: these aren’t the brands I personally connect with, but working with them taught me a ton about global retail standards and the level of detail it takes to represent them correctly. It was challenging, rewarding, and a perfect example of what it means to create a digital space that feels as elevated as the product it sells.

Working with the Client
This project wouldn’t have been the same without Kiara—my main point of contact at Preciosa and one of the best people I’ve had the pleasure of working with. She’s a true millennial soul born in a Gen Z body: sharp, stylish, and fully in tune with the brands she represents and the market she speaks to.
There’s mutual trust, creative freedom, and a shared sense of pride in doing things right. You can tell we both really enjoy what we do, and I think that energy shows up in the final product.
